Cartwright Votes Against Lower Energy Costs, Job Creation, Energy Independence

Once completed, the Keystone Pipeline would bring approximately 830,000 barrels of oil a day through a North American pipeline.  The project is a privately funded $7 billion investment in our economy that would create 117,000 jobs over the next 20 years.

The alternative is to continue to be held hostage to OPEC, price manipulation, and middle-eastern countries that, well, hate America.

Independent study after study has confirmed massive economic benefits for the U.S. if this project is completed.  As far as environmental impact, this project has been studied for years and found to be safe.  So, no surprise that 69% of Americans want the project approved.

Nonetheless, Democratic Congressman Matt Cartwright voted against the Keystone Pipeline.  He joined other Democrats in forcing Americans to continue paying high prices for gas, shipping billions of dollars overseas, and ruining the prospect of job creation.
