Obama's War on Science

Remember all of the daggers thrown the way of President Bush about avoiding science for the sake of preserving his own beliefs? President Obama said in his inaugural speech “We will restore science to its rightful place.” Apparently, that only applied to his sanctioned science. The Obama administration is doing the exact same thing that they accused the Bush Administration of doing as it relates to global warming/climate change.

The Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) made public an internal study that was actively suppressed by the Obama Administration’s EPA. The study can be found here.

The CEI also made public email exchanges where officials refused to even forward the information contained in the study. The emails can be found here.

According to the CEI, the report found several major problems. Namely, in adoption the United Nations’ 2007 “Fourth Assessment” report, it is relying on outdated information and ignoring new data. Rather large taboos for the scientific method.

All that the CEI could release is the draft report. They admit it may contain errors since it is a draft and that the errors were corrected in the final report. The problem is that the Obama Administration’s EPA holds the keys to the kingdom on the full report. You can read the CEI’s release here.

I wonder if Mooney will pen a new tome now...
